The real problem is the "startup error" introduced by some recent changes to BGA's action framework. You may (or may not) have noticed the "Startup UnexpectedError: Character has already been selected" in your game's log. The bug is that the game allowed you to continue and that you did.

I've submitted a fix for this. It's a byproduct of a framework change that BGA made to the way actions are processed.
The fix affects games moving forward, but it has no way to go back in time and fix games that are already broken. If you find that there are issues with your table, you'll need to abandon it and start a new game.

Startup error should be cleared now, too, at least for new games. Thanks for letting me know.
