The text of the Research Coordination says (in German):
"Wenn du nach dem Ausspielen dieser Karte eine Aktion ausführst, zählt das Joker-Symbol als ein beliebiges Symbol deiner Wahl."
which I translate roughly to
"If, after playing this card, you do an action, the joker symbol counts as any symbol."
So one could argue that the card does not have a science symbol when played (which is when Mars University triggers), as it can be counted as science (or any other symbol) only after being played.
"Wenn du nach dem Ausspielen dieser Karte eine Aktion ausführst, zählt das Joker-Symbol als ein beliebiges Symbol deiner Wahl."
which I translate roughly to
"If, after playing this card, you do an action, the joker symbol counts as any symbol."
So one could argue that the card does not have a science symbol when played (which is when Mars University triggers), as it can be counted as science (or any other symbol) only after being played.
