Please help me understand. Select a mug with a gray border in the top right, then the mug will appear on the card and click on the mug and nothing happens? I have attached images!

I had 3 cups ready with complete ingredients for my drinks, but after they all 3 flashed initially, in the end I could only use cup A and C, and B was left. This caused me negative points in the end and to lose the game.
