Move 194 listed just after the trick in question.
The trick was led with the Jack of Clubs (left bower). Spades are Trump. Other players played 6 of Spades and 9 of Diamonds. I have a 6 of Clubs, but I was able to play a different card (5 of Diamonds) and not follow the led suit.
Perhaps there is a special case allowing me to not follow suit, but I am unable to find it while looking through the rules on Pagat.

Nevermind - my mistake - The Jack of Clubs counts as a Spade (the trump suit), not as a club and I have no spades. You can close/delete this. Sorry for the false report.
