The turn was not skipped by the game because his turn was at 17:05 and your turn was at 23:01. I don't know what happened.

I will ask my opponent to add any relevant information to this report.
I suppose what we are wondering is, can we somehow just skip my turn and make it so that it is my opponent's turn? I know that is not allowed by game rules, but somehow, that is what happened to his turn - he did not get to play a card.
If the game state can somehow be altered to simply change whose turn it is, back to my opponent's turn, it would fix the game and allow us to continue.

5 jul 2025 21:39 • Hello! Thanks for picking this up, MGoulet!
So the last thing I did before Frank's turn was to play the king Sol the Great, which meant that I got to play a second character - Manta's leader. Maybe this is why the game engine was confused and skipped my turn? After my turn, Frank played his turn, whereafter we see "ManneMan starts their turn" and nothing more, then "FrankJones starts their turn". Very odd!
I'm fairly sure this doesn't always happen with Sol the Great though. Maybe it's the combination of Sol and Manta's leader?

6 jul 2025 11:32 • Sol - Manta's leader is a common sequence.
Especially odd is that the game interface acknowledged the end of your Sol-Manta's leader turn, then acknowledged the completion of my wave-Teller turn, then acknowledged that it was your turn ....
And then 6 hours later, the game became confused and thinks it is my turn.
And we're both seeing the same thing in the game log.
Mysterious indeed. The incorrect change from your turn back to mine, occurred hours later, when neither one of us was even playing the game or interacting with the game in any way.

6 jul 2025 12:08 • The question is, do you connect to the game and do an action. The game isn't "active" without a player interaction (the game in not in memory of the server until an action was made). So, to change the state of the game, the engine needs an input (action) from a player.
FrankJones • Se necesita más información para que los desarrolladores puedan reproducir este error:
6 jul 2025 17:45 • That is exactly why we are so confused.
After my input of playing the "wave-Teller" character, confirming my end-of-turn, and therefore triggering the start of ManneMan's turn, there were no further interactions or inputs from either of us, and yet the game state was changed somehow to being my turn a second time in a row.
Specifically, and as you noted from looking at the game log:
17:05 Frankjones Completes his turn, discards wave Teller, making ManneMan the active player
23:01 FrankJones starts their turn.
So, after 5 hours and 56 minutes of inactivity by both of us, the game state changed, on its own, skipping ManneMan's turn.

6 jul 2025 22:06 • I successfully started a hot seat 2-player game and was able to exactly recreate the sequence.
Nothing unusual happened, but, I'll leave the game alone for a few hours and see whether anything unusual happens later.
