Same issue as automatically closed bug 8200. It happened to me at least two times that we started the game, I did the first move, and afterwards the icon associated with the user changed.

I placed the first piece. You can see it is supposed to cover circles but the other player is said to have Xs now, but his number of icons is reduced.• ¿Qué navegador estás usando?

Historial de informes
It happens every time the second player chooses to switch sides and the game page/window is closed, regardless of the platform (Windows, Android or iOS) therefore is more applicable to turn-based games.
Example:
boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=156586682
* I was player 1 and covered 1 X and 2 O(s)
* Player two decided to switch sides
I took two prints, the first one without closing the game:
i.imgur.com/YZvfUGR.jpg
It shows me with the O symbols and with 28 uncovered symbols and my opponent with 29 left (correct)
Before I played, I re-opened the game and took another print:
i.imgur.com/UOBFHiR.jpg
Now it shows me with the O symbols but with 29 uncovered symbols and my opponent with 28 left (incorrect!)
How to replicate:
*Player 1, to make things simple, only covers O symbols.
*Player 2 chooses to go first
*Player 1 closes the window/page of the game.
When Player 1 goes back to the game it will show him with 30 uncovered O symbols, regardless of the number of O symbols he covered on his first move.
I cover 2 X
My scoredrops from 29 to 27
Opponent X score stays at 27
