Thank you for all the suggestions
In fact, it'd not be the _worst_ thing to just show your 1, 2, or 3 opponents/partner all in a row at the top, while you're at the bottom; It's not like a trick-taking game where it's confusing to "not see where the cards moved to", and they'd still be played in a line.
BUT please don't arrange it so that people can CHOOSE partners (as is done at present in Spades), as that
(1) might encourage focus on an approach that turns it into a FIGHT TO BE THE GREATEST PAIR, rather than just a game, and
(2) albeit only for what hopes might be a very, very small few, opens the door to couples cheating (using mobile phones, sms, and even zoom).
