One of the players got ejected on a time penalty, but the interface stayed on their turn, even after ejecting him.

Guy got tossed on a time penalty, but the interface was stuck on their turn still. Tried reloading and refreshing. The 2 of us left just finally gave up.

I also had the same problem.
Game booted a player and then I couldn't end my turn. "Zombie error" of some sort.

Tried to boot him twice- first time he was on the 20s countdown but it disappeared in between placing his assistants and his President. So he completed his turn and recovered. Second time I think he did not place his President in time. May have to do with actions between the 20s countdown and the Expel
