My preferences are set to "Send me an email, then don't send additional..." but I have not received any for several days now and yet when I login I have turn-based games waiting.

I'm getting this bug too. I stopped receiving emails a few days ago. I checked my settings and my spam folder and still get nothing. I used to get them all the time and then they suddenly stopped.

I was getting emails on my Yahoo.com email account until March 19 (joined site in early January).
I changed my preferences so that the emails would come to my home ISP email account, and now they are working again.
Maybe Yahoo started filtering them for some unknown reason.

I switch my from my yahoo account to a google account and the gmail account receives the mail.
I also set the gmail to forward any emails from noreply@boardgamearena.com to my yahoo account and that did not work either.
Here is the error that google sent me (from mailer-daemon@googlemail.com).
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
notreallymyaddress@yahoo.com
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain yahoo.com by mta5.am0.yahoodns.net. [66.196.118.240].
The error that the other server returned was:
554 Message not allowed - [299]

I have the same bug. I have Outlook and a Firefox browser, and although I have the 'send me, then don't send additional' option ticked I haven't received a single notification since I joined earlier in July.

Fixed. We totally rewrited the way BGA is sending emails.
In addition, we created a Preferences/email section where you can change email + see if there are problems with your emails + see the error message returned by your email provider if any + send test emails messages.
Details:
_ use SPF+DKIM to authenticate emails
_ use TLS to send secured emails
