But it looks like from the rules and screenshots that play in real life is done vertically, from bottom to top. This also makes sense for the readability of card text. That meant I had placed all six of my Poets on the left side of the pier. In the end, I had placed an equal amount of Poets in the top as bottom, and I failed the goal.

Perhaps for the online implementation, the rule could be "more Poets at the end than the beginning of the pier."
