Following boardgamearena.com/bug?id=64656 (The symbols on the map are too small), it is still hard to read the symbols of the map because of the low resolution.

NY map in general is difficult to read -- on computer, it appears old and faded. Cute idea to make it look like it was all printed by hand, but it's difficult to read. Can you increase the contrast, make the words darker, etc?

I can't do that, I must respect the material. But did you try the user preferences to make it easier to read (remove some details of the pictures to make it less busy). These options were the publisher answer to make it more readable.
