As we did last month, we'd like to introduce some recent changes on BGA.
3D
3D has been introduced 3 weeks ago on BGA. To activate it, you must click on "3D" button on top right during a game :
We want to be very clear about this: we consider that 2D view is better to play online. Please tell us if you think different, but we didn't find a situation where it's more practical to play in 3D. However, we are definitely considering using 3D effects on games from time to time, just for the "eye candy" thing.
Most games are not optimized for 3D at now, so sometimes it looks a little bit weird, but most of the time it's fine and allow us to communicate better on our service. Beside all of this, this is very important for BGA to show everyone (especially, game publishers) that we are capable of having a game in 3D here.
Don't hesitate to give us a feedback on this!
New friends feature
With this new icon on top right, you cannot miss a friend who is online when you are 🙂
This new feature is associated to a new Invite a friend button when you create a new table. This way you can invite a friend very fast at your table.
Soon, we will introduce another additional feature for those who like to play with specific players.
Group list
From Community page, there is now a link to list all BGA groups.
Game lobby interface
The simple lobby design change a lot and will continue to change during the following months.
It's a quite powerful tool now that you are using more and more. It allows you to check your ELO from the lobby page + to wait for different realtime games at the same time, which is pretty cool. Please don't hesitate to give us your feedback about it.
Reputation system change
We slightly changed the reputation system:
_ Now you get a double penalty for leaving a game (-20) if you quit 2 games within 1 week (it was 1 month before). This change ensure that we focus the big penalties on players who really abuse of the system, and are more tolerant with the others.
_ When your reputation is really really low, you get more than +1 when you finish a game without any issue. This way, we'd like to encourage players with very low reputation to recover from this situation.
Game interface small changes
By clicking on players names during a game, you can now access their profile.
Some of you asked us to disable the "Turn based personal notes" popup auto showing when loading a turn based game. We consider that if you take some notes during a turn based game, then you'd like to have it back as soon as you get back to this game, but some of you complained about this. For this reason we'd like to experiment the "non-automatic popup" for a while. Please tell us what you think of this.
Finally, we slightly changed the "Go to next table" button, because a lot of you complained that they were clicking on this button by mistake. We hope that the new design will fix this.

3D, listas de grupos, pop-up de amigos, reputación...
Como hicimos el mes pasado, nos gustaría presentar algunos cambios recientes en BGA.
3D
La vista 3D fue introducida hace 3 semanas en BGA.
Para activarla, debes pulsar el botón "3D" en la parte superior derecha durante una partida:
Queremos ser muy claros sobre esto: consideramos que la vista 2D es mejor para jugar online.
Dejadnos comentarios si pensáis de otro modo, porque no hemos encontrado ninguna situación donde la vista 3D sea más práctica.
Sin embargo, estamos considerando definitivamente usar efectos 3D en juegos de vez en cuando, sólo para que se vea bonito.
La mayoría de los juegos no están optimizados para 3D por ahora, así que a veces se ve un poco raro, pero la mayoría del tiempo está muy bien y nos permite comunicar mejor nuestro servicio.
Más allá de todo, es muy importante para BGA mostrarle a todos (especialmente, a los editores de juegos) que somos capaces de tener un juego en 3D en nuestro sitio.

Nueva función de amigos
Con este nuevo icono en la parte superior derecha, no te puedes perder si un amigo está en línea al mismo tiempo que tú.
Esta nueva característica se asocia a un nuevo botón de invitar a un amigo cuando se crea una nueva mesa.
De esta forma puedes invitar a un amigo muy rápido a tu mesa.
Pronto, vamos a introducir otra función adicional para aquellos que les gusta jugar con jugadores específicos.
Lista de grupo
En la página de la comunidad, ahora hay un enlace a una lista de todos los grupos BGA.
Interfaz del lobby de juegos
El diseño del lobby simple cambia mucho y continuará cambiando durante los meses siguientes.
Es una herramienta bastante potente ahora que la estáis usando cada vez más.
Permite comprobar vuestro ELO desde la página del lobby y esperar para diferentes partidas en tiempo real al mismo tiempo, lo que está muy bien.
No dudéis en darnos vuestra opinión.
Cambio en el sistema de reputación
Hemos cambiado un poco el sistema de reputación:
- Ahora se recibe una penalización doble por abandonar una partida (-20) si dejas 2 partidas en 1 semana (antes era en 1 mes).
Este cambio asegura que enfocamos las penas grandes jugadores que realmente abusan del sistema y son más tolerantes con los demás.
_ Cuando su reputación es realmente muy bajo, obtendrá más de + 1 cuando termine un juego sin ningún problema.
Esta manera, nos gustaría animar a los jugadores con reputación muy baja para recuperarse de esta situación.
Pequeños cambios a la interfaz de juego
Haciendo clic sobre los nombres de los jugadores durante una partida, ahora es posible acceder a su perfil.
Algunos nos pidieron desactivar el auto de "Notas personales de turnos" popup que muestra cuando se carga un giro basado en juego.
Tenemos en cuenta que si usted toma algunas notas durante un juego de turnos, entonces como que volver tan pronto regreses a este juego, pero algunos de ustedes se quejaron de esto.
Por esta razón nos gustaría experimentar el "no automático emergente" por un tiempo.
Por favor díganos lo que piensa de esto.
Por último, cambiamos ligeramente el botón de "Ir a la mesa de al lado", debido a que muchos de ustedes se quejaban de que hacían clic en este botón por error.
Esperamos que el nuevo diseño lo solucione.
