This festive season, we have the great pleasure to unwrap online Coup, a game from Rikki Tahta published by La Mame Games, now available on Board Game Arena!
In Coup, you'll be intriguing your way to power in an old italian city state as the head of an influent family. Your goal will be to discredit other families and force them into exile. And to reach this goal, morals are of course both redundant and quite useless! Bluff, lies and intrigue on the other hand...
On your turn, you'll chose one of the possible actions, that may match one of your 2 character cards in hand... or not! But if another player thinks you are bluffing, he can call your bluff... and if you are indeed bluffing and he catches you red handed, you'll lose face before the Italian court (and in the game, you'll lose one of your characters in hand). Of course if you are unduly accused and can prove your innocence by revealing the proper character, then it's your accuser who loses a character. A player who loses both character cards in hand is eliminated from the game: to win, you have to be the last one to stand proud before your peers!
Coup is a fast paced and fun game full of counters and surprises! We are really happy to have this great game join BGA's Premium catalog. Like the other Premium games (7 Wonders, Carcassonne, Terra Mystica, ...), you need to be a Premium member to create a new table of the game, and after that you can play with whoever you want to (Premium or not). En Coup, deberás buscar tu camino hacia el poder en una antigua ciudad-estado italiana como el líder de una influyente familia.
Tu objetivo será desacreditar a las otras familias y forzarlas al exilio.
Y para alcanzar este objetivo, las reglas morales son, por supuesto, algo ¡innecesario y bastante inútil!
Engaños, mentiras e intriga por otro lado...
En tu turno, elegirás una de las acciones posibles, que debe coincidir con una de las dos cartas de personaje de tu mano...
¡ ...o no!
Pero si otro jugador piensa que estás mintiendo, puede descubrir tu farol...
y si realmente has mentido y te atrapa in fraganti, perderás tu reputación ante la corte italiana (y en el juego, perderás a uno de los personajes de tu mano).
Por supuesto si eres acusado indebidamente y puedes demostrar tu inocencia al revelar el personaje adecuado, entonces es tu acusador quien pierde a uno de sus personajes.
Un jugador que pierde ambas cartas de personaje de su mano queda eliminado del juego: ¡Para ganar, tienes que ser el último que quede en pie ante tus iguales!
