OBJECTIVE
Defeat your opponent in this arcade-style fighting game by reducing their health to 0.
SETUP
- Each player chooses a Hero and their corresponding Action deck.
- Starting health is set to 25.
- Each player draws 7 cards for their starting hand.
- The player who says "Ready, Fight!" first goes first.
GAMEPLAY
Players take turns performing actions. A turn consists of three phases:
1. Draw Phase:
- Draw 2 cards from your Action deck. (There is no hand limit).
2. Action Phase:
- You may play any number of cards to perform Attacks or activate effects.
- Joysticks: Cards representing movement or positioning.
- Buttons: Cards representing punches, kicks, or special moves.
- Combos: Combine cards according to the symbols on your Hero card to trigger extra effects or damage.
3. End Phase:
- Effects that last "until the end of the turn" expire.
- Play passes to the opponent.
COMBAT & DEFENSE
- Attacking: The active player plays attack cards. Total damage is calculated.
- Defending: The defender can play Block cards (to reduce damage from Buttons) or Counter cards (to react to specific maneuvers).
- Star Power: You gain Star tokens through attacks and effects. Once you reach 5 tokens, your powerful Star Power Ability triggers automatically.
- Shields: Shield tokens can be spent to block incoming damage on a one-for-one basis.
END OF GAME
- The game ends immediately when a player's health reaches 0. The surviving player is the winner.
