In this game I got military beaten at age III by my neighbour (Colossus), because I had not noticed the two shields provided by his wonder. My fault, I should have paid more attention with that, like in real game.
However, I think that indicate the total military power in a numeric way would be a cheap and useful improvement, especially if you plan to develop expansions (for the moment the only "problematic" spot is on the Colossus wonder).
This could be indicated in player panels (as in RFTG) or next to the player wonder.

26 sep 2018 3:28 • Agreed, next to the money count could be the shield count, and why not the different red victory or defeat tokens (-1, 1, 3, 5), useful for the Strategists guilds (give points if your neighbours lost the war).

30 ago 2023 21:52 • This shouldn't be implemented in my opinion. Just like in real life it is up to the player to be able to use simple arithmetic and observation skills to evaluate the military situation. It also only takes seconds to calculate.
If this were to be implemented where would the 'aids' end? You could just as easily argue for the implementation to tell you how many points any given Purple Guild card is worth to you when its in your hand because that would be 'useful' and the automation could do that.
